Job summary

Republic Services in Midland, Texas seeks a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of a fleet up to 60 vehicles, diesel and alternative fuels. You will drive safety, efficiency and on-time service across locations.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting and planning skills, plus deep knowledge of engine and electrical systems. Expect multi-site coordination, reporting, and opportunity to optimize maintenance costs and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in transportation with strong safety compliance knowledge (OSHA Haz Com, Lock Out Tag Out, Fire Safety).
• Experience overseeing preventive maintenance programs and a shop crew across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and mentor technicians and lead technicians to ensure safe, efficient repairs and maintenance.
• Plan and schedule repair work to maximize productivity and minimize overtime.
• Monitor shop performance, conduct QA inspections, and implement process improvements.
• Oversee outside repair facilities and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage payroll, records, budgeting and reporting in the Dossier Maintenance System.
• Identify training opportunities and document corrective actions as needed.
