Fire-Dex, Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and profitability for new and existing accounts within CO, IA, MT, ND, NE, SD, UT, and WY. This role operates from a home office with frequent travel across the region.

The ideal candidate possesses a college degree and strong experience in sales territory management, multi-step distribution, and end-user selling within the fire safety sector. A proven track record in account management and superior communication is essential.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent.
• Sales territory management experience required.
• Sales experience in multi-step distribution management, along with end-user selling skills required.
• Experience within the fire industry very strongly preferred.
• Public safety or government business/sales experience also preferred.
• Account management experience.
• Ability to work from a home office and must live in the territory (relocation not included).
• Strong communication skills - verbal, electronic and written.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Efficient with multi-tasking, handling interruptions as needed.
• Strong Microsoft Office experience, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• CRM (Salesforce) experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications.
• Self-motivated and action-oriented with high energy and dedication to customer service.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to forge long-term and strategic relationships.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Relationship building and management.
• Generate direct contact with end-users and build strategic relationships.
• Distributor management to maximize revenue and market penetration.
• Develop and present sales presentations to regional fire departments and distributors.
• Create product specifications for end-users.
• Coordinate and support sales activities with dealers.
• Organize, set up and exhibit at regional trade shows as appropriate.
• Occasionally host dealer and/or customer visits to the Medina OH office.
• Gather, record and update competitive data and sales strategies.
• Travel 110-130 days per year with 90-100 overnights.
