Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices, driving a consistent, high-quality client experience.

You’ll set expectations for consultative service, operational execution, and team performance while balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership. You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, align staffing and facilities, and own revenue, growth, and performance across offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail/service/operations.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4–6 offices with disciplined execution.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations to reinforce strengths and close gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors with client-centric leadership.
• Lead professionals by setting expectations, reinforcing accountability, and coaching for consistent performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors, performance, and real-time feedback to strengthen teams.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and high-potential talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor metrics, identify trends, and act to improve business results and client retention.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, equipment, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
