Job summary

Texas Materials is seeking an Area Equipment Manager to optimise fleet assets and lead Equipment Managers across the region. You will balance reliability and cost, coach teams, and partner with leadership to improve performance and safety. This role requires hands-on management and solid financial acumen.

Travel up to 70% regional, with a focus on capital planning, supplier relationships, and asset lifecycle optimisation. Experience in mining, construction, or manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical degree with 5+ years in equipment management.
• Experience managing P&L and asset lifecycles.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Foundational mechanical knowledge and industry awareness.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Equipment Managers; coach, guide, and provide hands-on support.
• Drive cost reduction and maintain high equipment availability.
• Communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.
• Visit stakeholder locations to identify opportunities and solve problems.
• Develop annual CapEx plans and lifecycle extensions.
