Job summary

Texas Materials, A CRH company, is seeking an Area Equipment Manager to lead and optimize a regional fleet and equipment base. You will collaborate with CRH leadership, field teams, and suppliers to balance reliability, safety, and cost across a multi-site footprint.

The role emphasizes strategic CapEx planning, asset lifecycle management, and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver measurable improvements in TCO and uptime. Travel up to 70% is required, with a focus on regional operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical degree with equipment management experience.
• Minimum 5 years of equipment management experience.
• Experience managing P&L responsibility.
• Experience in mining, construction, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead Equipment Managers in repair and maintenance decision‑making through coaching and hands‑on support.
• Drive cost reduction and operational efficiency while maintaining high equipment availability.
• Maintain open communication with end users, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Visit stakeholder locations regularly to identify opportunities and provide on‑the‑ground support.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to leadership and teams.
• Develop and execute a five‑year CapEx strategy including lifecycle extension and replacements.
• Partner with suppliers to strengthen service agreements and drive value.
• Optimize asset lifecycle management across the geographic area.
