Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Regional Environmental Engineer to lead environmental permitting and compliance for AWS data center development.

You will partner with Real Estate, Legal, Risk, Design, and Construction teams to drive due diligence, permit strategy, and compliance across the project lifecycle. The role requires expertise in US environmental regulations, multi-media permitting, and experience managing complex, high-priority initiatives with tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-media US environmental permitting (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, SPCC, SARA Title III).
• Experience with Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments and regulatory evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Assess environmental risks and develop mitigations for data center siting and development.
• Lead environmental due diligence, permitting evaluations, and site assessments.
• Deliver permits, approvals, and plans to enable compliant construction and operation of data centers.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design, Legal, Risk and other teams across AWS projects.
