Job summary

Amazon (AWS) is seeking a Regional Environmental Engineer to oversee environmental compliance for AWS data centers in Missouri. Based in New Florence, MO, travel across the state is required while developing standards, monitoring metrics, and guiding teams to implement environmental standards.

You will collaborate with internal and external partners, including government entities, contractors, and operations teams, to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs including regulated waste, water and air regulations.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee compliance with environmental regulations and Amazon policy.
• Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
• Ensure work by contractors, consultants, and employees adheres to Amazon standards.
• Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance.
• Conduct thorough environmental audits for continuous improvement.
• Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently.
• Represent Amazon with government agencies and within the company.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to identify and manage risks early.
• Assist in timely environmental reporting to governmental agencies.
• Complete investigations and develop corrective actions.
