Job summary

Hussmann seeks a Regional Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to support EHS programs across IA, MO, NE, KS, and SD. You will promote safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate training, and assist incident investigations to help employees return home safely.

This role partners with field operations, installation teams, and business leaders to minimize risk. Travel up to 60% within the region; requires a Bachelor’s in safety or related field and 7+ years of EHS experience;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
• 7+ years of EHS experience or 10+ years in EHS.
• Proficient in OSHA standards and incident management processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Travel up to 60% within the region.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Lead injury prevention, hazard identification, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace injuries and incidents; maintain records.
• Coordinate EHS training and employee education.
• Prepare safety performance reports and track metrics.
