Job summary

Hussmann seeks an experienced Regional EHS Specialist to support safety programs across multiple sites in IA, MO, NE, KS, and SD. The role focuses on incident investigations, training coordination, and regulatory compliance, with up to 60% travel.

A strong background in OSHA standards and cross-functional collaboration is essential. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in safety or related field and extensive EHS experience, plus excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or related field required.
• Minimum 7 years of EHS experience or 10+ years in EHS.
• Proficiency with OSHA standards and safety principles.
• Ability to influence leaders and build relationships across the organization.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer company EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Lead injury prevention, hazard identification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and state/local safety requirements.
• Coordinate and maintain EHS documentation and records.
• Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate required EHS training and certifications.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly safety performance reports.
• Travel to locations to support safety activities and assess compliance.
