Job summary

Hussmann Corporation is seeking a proactive Regional Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support safety programs across multiple locations and job sites in IA, MO, NE, KS, and SD. You will promote safety culture, drive regulatory compliance, coordinate training, and assist incident investigations to help employees return home safely each day.

The ideal candidate will partner with field operations, installation teams, and business leaders to reduce risk and improve workplace safety

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or related field with 7+ years EHS experience or 10+ years EHS experience.
Proficiency in OSHA standards and incident management processes.
Experience influencing leaders and building cross‑functional relationships.
Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 60% within region.

Responsibilities

Implement and administer EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
Lead injury prevention, hazard identification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure OSHA and state/local safety compliance across locations.
Coordinate EHS documentation, records, and compliance files.
Support inspections, audits, incident reporting, and investigations.
Coordinate and track EHS training and certifications.
Prepare safety performance reports and track trends.
Support field operations, provide safety guidance, and travel to sites.
