Job summary

Alter Trading is seeking a Regional EHS Coordinator in Council Bluffs, IA to lead safety programs across the region. You will partner with facility leadership, environmental managers, and safety professionals to implement proactive health and safety initiatives and training.

The role requires experience in heavy industrial settings, strong data analysis, and effective communication. Travel and a flexible schedule are expected to support regional operations.

Qualifications

• BS in Health and Safety preferred with 3–5 years of heavy industrial safety experience.
• Knowledge of local/state/federal safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Ability to collect and analyze health and safety data and trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication in diverse settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate safety program implementation and monitoring.
• Develop safety programs tailored to site hazards and operations.
• Assist with contractor safety management to meet standards.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Audit EHS programs and provide safety coaching to teams.
• Collaborate with operations leadership on risk reduction.
