Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a proactive Regional EHS Specialist to support safety programs across multiple locations in IA, MO, NE, KS, and SD. You will drive injury prevention, hazard identification, incident investigations, and training coordination, partnering with field operations and leadership to reduce risk and improve safety performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in safety or related field and 7–10 years of EHS experience, with travel up to 60%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or related field and 7 years of EHS experience, or 10+ years’ experience in EHS.
• Proficient in Construction OSHA standards and workplace safety principles.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation and incident management processes.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 60% within the region.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer EHS policies, procedures, and programs across sites.
• Lead injury prevention, hazard identification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure OSHA and state/local safety compliance across locations.
• Coordinate EHS documentation, records, and audits.
• Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and track required EHS training and certifications.
• Travel to company locations and customer sites to support safety activities.
