Job summary

GXO is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to oversee safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives across U.S. and Canada locations.

You will lead a team of EHS professionals, develop programs, monitor KPI trends, and ensure regulatory alignment for hazardous materials handling and waste management. The role emphasizes regional leadership, audits, training, and collaboration with site leadership to enhance safety performance and ESG reporting.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of environmental, health and safety experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of the supply chain and logistics industry.
• Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations for hazardous and universal waste, stormwater, permitting and compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Basics of lean manufacturing.
• Experience in working with regulatory partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead regional EHS programs and systems across multiple locations.
• Monitor KPI trends, audit EHS programs, and support ESG reporting.
• Coach and develop EHS professionals to uphold culture, processes and safety objectives.
• Ensure accurate handling, storage and transportation of hazardous materials and compliance with site SOPs.
• Drive regional sustainability initiatives and report on progress to leadership.
