Job summary

GXO is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for 1st Shift to oversee regional EHS programs across multiple U.S. and Canada sites. You will drive regulatory compliance, safety culture, and sustainability initiatives while leading a team of EHS professionals.

The role emphasizes audits, KPI reporting, and collaboration with leadership to meet GXO safety and ESG goals. Travel up to 50% is required; a Bachelor's in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of EHS experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of hazardous and universal waste regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Manage regional EHS programs and systems across multiple locations.
• Develop and perform EHS audits, inspections and ESG reporting.
• Lead and coach Site and Zone EHS professionals to meet objectives.
• Ensure site processes and training for handling dangerous goods are compliant.
• Lead sustainability initiatives and report progress to leadership.
• Conduct EHS evaluations to improve controls and training.
• Review and communicate health and safety programs and PPE needs.
• Oversee PPE procurement and safety SOW approvals.
• Deliver safety training including Intelex risk management topics.
• Support startup safety training for new sites.
