Job summary

GXO is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives across U.S. and Canada operation sites. You’ll lead regional EHS programs, audits, and training to embed a proactive safety culture.

The role requires 5–7 years in EHS with 3+ in supervision, knowledge of hazardous and universal waste rules, and experience with regulatory partners. Travel up to 50% and a bachelor’s degree in related field are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years EHS experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics industry regulations.
• Experience with hazardous/universal waste, stormwater, and permitting basics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Lean manufacturing basics.
• Experience collaborating with regulatory partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage regional environmental, health and safety programs and systems across multiple locations.
• Develop and performance EHS programs, KPI tracking, audits, and ESG reporting.
• Coach Site/Zone EHS professionals to embed EHS culture and processes.
• Ensure site processes for handling dangerous goods are current and compliant.
• Lead regional sustainability initiatives and report on progress to leadership.
• Conduct EHS evaluations, assess risk, and implement improvements.
• Develop health and safety programs and communicate PPE requirements.
• Generate and maintain required EHS reports and incident trend analyses.
• Oversee PPE purchases and safety statements of work.
• Conduct comprehensive safety audits for designated sites.
• Provide onsite and remote safety training addressing specific topics for leadership.
