Job summary

QXO seeks a Regional Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead field-based safety initiatives across multiple states. You will drive proactive risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and a cultural shift toward learning-based safety, partnering with operations leadership and centralized EHS teams to prevent pSIFs and SIFs.

The role emphasizes investigating high‑risk incidents, maintaining risk registers, and implementing system-based safety programs while traveling regionally to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in multi-site distribution, warehousing, transportation, or construction environments.
• Demonstrated experience implementing system-based safety programs beyond basic compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA requirements.
• Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, and leading-indicator-based performance management.
• Ability to influence leaders at all levels using data, coaching, and practical solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.
• Willingness to travel regularly within assigned region.
• Preferred certifications: CSP, OHST, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional EHS strategy and risk reduction across branches and transportation operations.
• Drive proactive risk reduction and regulatory compliance.
• Coach site leaders on Just Culture and incident response.
• Manage hazard identification and risk registers.
• Lead learning-based reviews for pSIFs and near misses.
• Oversee OSHA/DOT/FMCSA regulatory inspections and audits.
• Shift leadership focus to leading indicators like Safety Index and TRIR.
• Collaborate with operations and HR to improve safety culture.
