Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking an Area Driver Trainer to lead driver safety, onboarding, and field readiness across the Tulsa region and surrounding areas. You will govern training programs, mentor local trainers, conduct final certifications, and collaborate with safety leaders on incident investigations.

You will manage the regional rollout of Driver Training Curriculum and Safety Manual, select and onboard drivers, ensuring standardized, high-quality instruction and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
• 2+ years CMV management experience
• 3+ years risk management experience
• Expert in FMCSR (Title 49) and DOT CSA scoring; reading SDS

Responsibilities

• Lead driver training governance and onboarding for 75–100 drivers regionally
• Direct curriculum rollout and trainer onboarding for standardized instruction
• Coach on safety standards (Smith System, GOAL, E-Logs) and assess critical operations
• Manage final field check‑rides and certifications; target retraining as needed
• Partner with safety leaders on incident investigations and regulatory liaison
