Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring an Area Driver Trainer to lead regional driver training, governance, and certification. You will mentor local trainers, ensure safety standards, and partner with safety leaders to investigate incidents.

You will oversee onboarding for 75-100 drivers, roll out training curricula, and conduct hands-on evaluations to ensure high-quality instruction and readiness to hit the road.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement, valid DOT Medical Card, and LPG trainer endorsement.
• Bachelor's in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) with CMV management experience.
• 2+ years CMV management and 3+ years risk management experience.
• Expert in FMCSR (Title 49) and DOT CSA scoring; SDS reading ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding curriculum for 75-100 drivers and evaluate local trainers.
• Direct regional rollout of the Driver Training Curriculum and Safety Manual.
• Coach safety standards and hands-on evaluations for operational skills.
• Lead final field check-rides and coordinate certifications with leadership.
• Partner with Area Safety Managers on incidents and DOT inspections.
