Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring an Area Driver Trainer to lead regional driver training governance and certification. The role requires coaching safety standards, mentoring local trainers, and partnering with safety leaders on incident investigations.

Travel is approximately 70% within the region, with base pay starting at $75,000 plus a 10% annual bonus. The position supports a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability insurance, 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must hold Class A CDL (clean record) with Hazmat endorsement and valid DOT Medical Card
• LPG trainer endorsement (KS/AR/MO) desired
• Experience with FMCSR (Title 49) and DOT CSA scoring

Responsibilities

• Lead regional driver training governance and oversee 75–100 onboarding drivers.
• Direct rollout of Driver Training Curriculum and Safety Manual; onboard and audit local trainers.
• Coach safety standards (Smith System, G.O.A.L., backing protocols) and evaluate critical skills.
• Lead field check-rides, approve certifications, and coordinate retraining to address skill gaps.
• Partner with Area Safety Managers on accident investigations and DOT compliance.
