Job summary

Airgas is seeking an Area Driver Trainer to elevate driver safety, onboarding quality, and field readiness across the region. You will oversee governance, mentor trainers, and certify drivers, shaping performance and compliance in a CMV-focused environment.

The role requires a Class A CDL with Hazmat, a DOT Medical Card, and an LPG trainer endorsement, plus 5+ years of CMV management. Expect ~70% travel with competitive benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class A CDL with a clean record and Hazmat endorsement.
• DOT Medical Card required; LPG trainer endorsement (KS/AR/MO) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years CMV management experience; 2+ years risk management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional driver training governance and curriculum rollout.
• Mentor local trainers; conduct final driver certifications and retraining as needed.
• Partner with safety leaders on incident investigations and DOT compliance.
• Coordinate with Area Safety Managers on accident investigations and inspections.
