Job summary

Airgas is hiring an Area Driver Trainer to oversee driver training governance across the region, coaching local trainers, and certifying drivers. The role requires CDL A with Hazmat, DOT Medical Card, and significant CMV management and safety experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement and DOT Medical Card.
• Bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
• 2+ years CMV management and 3+ years risk management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional training governance and oversee 75–100 drivers onboarding curriculum.
• Manage curriculum and trainer onboarding, evaluation, and audits.
• Enforce safety standards (Smith System, GOAL, backing, E‑Logs) and conduct hands-on evaluations.
• Lead final field check-rides, retraining, and certifications; support driver retention.
