Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage is seeking a District Manager primarily for North Carolina. You will lead multi-store operations, drive customer experience, and manage staff across several stores in Charlottesville/Raleigh area and adjacent markets.

The role requires strong leadership, recruitment and coaching skills, with travel across stores in NC, SC, and VA. Base pay starts at $85,000 with quarterly and annual bonuses, Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have multi-unit retail sales/service operations leadership experience.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed performance standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and coach staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee district store activities and operations to meet goals and customer service standards.
• Meet or exceed monthly revenue budgets.
• Conduct facility audits for standards compliance.
• Direct daily staff scheduling and provide coaching/feedback.
• Recruit, interview, and hire staff.
