Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in North Carolina is seeking a District Manager to lead multiple stores, drive exceptional customer experiences, and achieve revenue goals. The role requires self-driven leadership, coaching staff, and hands-on oversight of district operations across Charlottesville/Raleigh, Indian Land, and Richmond markets.

You will recruit and develop high-performing teams, drive audits and standards, and travel within the district for meetings and training.

Qualifications

Multi-unit retail leadership experience required.
Proven ability to meet/exceed performance standards.
Excellent communication and motivational skills.
Ability to recruit, develop, and coach staff.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office and web-based systems.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Accountable for all district store activities and operations impacting customers, staff, and company goals.
Meets company revenue goals by achieving or exceeding monthly budget expectations.
Conducts facility audits to ensure standards are met.
Oversees daily staff activities and schedules, providing feedback.
Recruits, interviews, and hires new staff members.
Leads by example, coaching and developing teams.
Travels within the designated area to stores for meetings and training.
