Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage is seeking a District Manager to lead multiple stores in North Carolina, driving exceptional customer experience and sales performance. You will be responsible for guiding store teams, ensuring operational excellence, and meeting revenue goals across the district.

The role requires proven leadership of hourly teams, strong communication, and the ability to coach staff across locations.

Qualifications

• Must have multi-unit retail sales/service operations leadership experience.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed performance standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and coach staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deal with interruptions.
• Works well under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all district store activities and operations.
• Meets company revenue goals by achieving or exceeding monthly budgets.
• Conducts facility audits to ensure standards are met.
• Oversees daily activities and scheduling of staff; provides feedback.
• Recruits, interviews, and hires staff.
• Leads by example; cultivates a shared vision and coaching culture.
• Travels within the designated area to stores and training locations.
