Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Regional Collections Associate to manage a regional portfolio and maximize financial results by lowering DRO and reducing delinquency. You will coordinate with Operations, Rental, and Sales leadership to resolve disputes and enforce terms.

The role requires strong problem solving, communication, and relationship-building skills, with MS Office proficiency and experience in commercial collections. This is a full-time, on-site position based in California.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Associate/Bachelor's preferred in business, accounting or finance.
• 1+ year in commercial collections.
• 2+ years in accounting/finance with HS diploma.
• 0–1 year in accounting/finance with Associate/Bachelor's.
• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial collections process (intermediate).
• MS Office Suite (intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Contact customers to solicit payment and negotiate cessation of services.
• Analyze disputes and deductions to resolve amounts due.
• Provide regular receivables updates to Finance, Operations, Sales and Rental leadership.
• Participate in projects related to enhancements in Collections, AR, Customer Service and Billing.
• Develop documentation and user manuals as directed.
• Mitigate losses and protect customer relationships while improving receivables metrics.
• Analyze financial/credit/operational data to plan collections strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
