Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a Regional Case Manager for Child Support Services in Columbia County. You will prepare cases for court, verify documents, schedule hearings, and coordinate with clerks and intergovernmental agencies to enforce support obligations.

Required: a High School Diploma with 4 years of experience (including 2 years in Child Support Services), or an Associate Degree with 2 years in Child Support, or a Bachelor's degree or higher in lieu of

Qualifications

High School Diploma plus 4 years of related experience, including 2 years in Child Support.
Associate Degree with 2 years of Child Support experience.
Bachelor's degree or higher may substitute for work experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare Child Support Cases for Family Court and perform court-related tasks.
Verify pleadings, affidavits, and notarize documents; schedule hearings.
Assist attorney in court and negotiate support amounts; complete form orders.
Maintain caseload records, follow agency policies, and close cases as needed.
Provide internal and external customer service within 48 hours when possible.
Coordinate with Clerks of Court and intergovernmental agencies on enforcement.
Ensure personally identifying information (PII) is protected and safeguard systems.
Performs Red Cross Shelter Duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as requested.
