Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a Regional Case Manager for Child Support Services to prepare cases for Family Court and conduct related court activities. You will verify documents, schedule hearings, and assist attorneys with support orders while maintaining sensitive information securely.

You will manage caseloads, respond to inquiries, collaborate with Clerks of Court and intergovernmental agencies, and handle inter-state cases as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with four years of relevant experience, including two years with Child Support Services.
• Associate Degree with two years of experience in Child Support Services.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher may substitute for required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Child Support cases for Family Court and conduct court activities.
• Verify pleadings, affidavits, and notarize court documents; schedule hearings.
• Assist attorney in court; negotiate support amounts and process orders.
• Maintain caseloads, handle correspondence, prepare and modify orders.
• Provide internal and external customer service within 48 hours if schedule permits.
• Coordinate with Clerks of Court and intergovernmental agencies to enforce obligations.
• Interview custodial parents for intergovernmental cases and monitor case activities.
• Safeguard PII and protect agency networks and data.
• Performs Red Cross Shelter Duty or other emergency duties as needed.
