About the Role

Our client, a prominent national catering organization, is seeking a strategic and experienced Regional Catering Operations Manager to oversee and optimize catering services across multiple locations within the Upington, Northern Cape region and surrounding areas. This senior management position requires a leader with a proven track record in managing complex operational environments, driving efficiency, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality catering services. You will be responsible for financial performance, operational excellence, staff development, and strategic planning across your designated region. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership acumen, exceptional financial management skills, and a deep understanding of large-scale catering operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational and financial performance of catering units within the assigned region.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance efficiency, profitability, and service quality.
• Manage regional budgets, control costs, and ensure adherence to financial targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of unit managers and operational staff across multiple sites.
• Ensure all catering operations comply with company standards, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in senior management roles within the catering, hospitality, or food service industry, with at least 3 years in a regional or multi-site management capacity.
• Demonstrated success in managing P&L, budgets, and driving operational efficiency in large-scale catering environments.
• Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• In-depth knowledge of catering operations, food safety, and quality standards.
• Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and business development.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within the region and occasionally to head office.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to implement change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
