Job summary

Associated Metal Forming Technologies (AMFT) seeks a Business Development Manager to expand the customer base and drive profitable growth across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. The role is remote within the assigned territory with 50-70% travel; you will hunt new business while nurturing existing relationships across aerospace, defense, industrial, and other markets.

You will represent AMFT’s capabilities including springs, stampings, metal forming, tooling, and engineered components,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in business development, sales, or account management in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Proven success generating and winning new business.
• Experience managing complex customer relationships and sales cycles.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation skills.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
• Ability to travel 50–70% within assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and secure new customer opportunities in MI, IN, OH, and KY.
• Build territory growth plans focused on target industries and accounts.
• Develop relationships with OEMs, Tier suppliers, distributors, and key decision-makers.
• Manage full sales process from lead generation to launch.
• Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions.
• Represent AMFT at industry events and customer meetings.
• Expand existing relationships and cross-sell multiple AMFT capabilities.
• Maintain Salesforce updates and pipeline forecasting.
