Job summary

Associated Metal Forming Technologies (AMFT) is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its customer base and grow market share across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. This remote role reports to the VP of Sales, Americas and requires 50–70% regional travel to engage OEMs, Tier suppliers, and distributors.

You will drive profitable growth by hunting for new business while expanding relationships with existing customers, leveraging AMFT’s capabilities in springs, stampings, metal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business-related field.
• 3–5 years in BD, sales, or account management in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Proven success generating and winning new business.
• Experience managing complex customer relationships and sales cycles.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM.
• Willingness to travel 50–70% within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and secure new customer opportunities within Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
• Build territory growth plans and target strategic accounts.
• Develop relationships with OEMs, Tier suppliers, distributors, and key decision-makers.
• Manage the full sales process from lead generation through quote, negotiation, award, and launch.
• Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions to uncover opportunities.
• Represent AMFT at industry events and customer meetings.
