Job summary

BayPort Credit Union Brand is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee multiple Newport News locations, driving service excellence and branch performance. The role involves coaching branch staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering member-focused solutions.

You will lead a team, collaborate with departments, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and profitability, while staying current with industry trends and regulatory changes in the credit union sector.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; equivalent work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple branch locations, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor branch performance metrics such as member satisfaction, transaction volume, loan portfolio growth, and profitability.
• Implement strategies to optimize branch efficiency, productivity, and profitability; lead, mentor, and motivate branch managers and staff to achieve goals.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
• Support a member-centric culture focused on delivering exceptional service and building relationships with members.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting credit unions.
• Participate in joint-call efforts with Branch Manager/Business Development Officer to SEGs and prospects.
• Collaborate with Retail Operations Manager to ensure operational soundness of branches.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and development of new products, services, or tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
