Job summary

Columbia Distributing is seeking a District Manager to oversee the execution of sales goals across assigned territories in Alaska. The role guides Sales Representatives and Sales Associates, ensuring adherence to monthly, quarterly and annual objectives while aligning with company initiatives.

The position requires strong leadership, developer of staff, and deep industry knowledge to sustain brand distribution and drive promotions across accounts.

Qualifications

• Must have strong accountability and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to train and develop staff to achieve goals and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with AS400 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish sales and distribution goals by executing monthly, quarterly and annual objectives.
• Manage inventory expenses in accordance with company policy.
• Educate and train employees to ensure execution of company goals and priorities.
• Interact with inter-team departments, suppliers and customers with respect.
• Know decision makers in each account and leverage relationships.
• Prepare reports and numbers for the sales team.
• Coordinate monthly ride-alongs and reporting activities.
• Create and implement retail promotions responsive to customer bases.
• Effectively sell, rotate and merchandise Columbia Distributing portfolio in accounts.
• Grow net core brand distribution over baseline throughout the year.
