Job summary

ACV Auctions seeks an experienced outside sales leader for a Regional Sales Manager role in the Chicago area. You will build a structured approach to acquiring new dealer floorplan business, underwriting credit, and maximizing activations across a defined territory.

You will engage with Floorplan Director and Territory Managers, manage accounts, and drive growth through compelling value propositions, while leveraging Salesforce for reporting and pipeline management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3 years of auto or financial services industry experience.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Working knowledge of inventory finance software programs.
• Experience analysing dealer financial statements and tax returns.
• CRM experience, preferably Salesforce, to manage the sales pipeline.
• Familiarity with ACV Auctions products and services.
• Proven sales leadership in developing new dealer floorplan territories.
• Self-starter with strong organization to cover large territories.
• Ability to perform initial underwriting of potential customers.

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Develop and execute an aggressive sales plan in a defined market.
• Build prospect list through cold calling, lead follow-up and referrals.
• Service accounts during onboarding and resolve issues for growth.
• Utilize Salesforce daily for reporting and tracking.
• Hit targets for new applications, signed contracts, and activations.
• Underwrite potential customers initially.
• Develop relationships with Regional and Territory Managers.
• Manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Ensure compliant completion of all transactions with proper documentation.
• Collaborate to set acceptable financial/ROI levels to meet targets.
• Identify and manage default situations and risk.
• Collect data on defaults to inform decision making.
• Other duties as assigned.
