Job summary

AAMCI is seeking a Regional Property Manager to oversee the performance of a large portfolio of affordable housing communities. You will lead on-site teams, ensuring compliance with HUD, Section 8, and LIHTC standards, and drive financial and occupancy targets across the region.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, budget management, and staff development, with travel required to site locations and regular collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or extensive background in multi-family affordable housing.
• 3-5 years progressive multi-site management experience in Project Based Section 8 and Tax Credit properties, including regional level responsibility.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial reports, manage budgets, and improve operational performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of daily operations of multiple affordable housing communities within the assigned region.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, Section 8, LIHTC, and other federal, state, and local housing regulations.
• Monitor occupancy levels, financial performance, and property maintenance to achieve budget and compliance targets.
• Conduct regular site visits and audits to assess property conditions and team performance.
• Support and train property managers and leasing staff on compliance, customer service, and operational standards.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
