Job summary

AAMCI is seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Community Manager to oversee our property operations and resident services. You will lead a team to deliver high-quality housing management, handle leases, verifications, and compliance, and coordinate move-ins and annual certifications.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on regulatory compliance and resident satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management, focusing on affordable housing.
• Proficient with Yardi Voyager, including Affordable Housing module.
• Knowledge of Project Based Section 8 regulations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven leadership in motivating and developing teams.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of affordable housing properties.
• Greet residents and manage clerical tasks, mail, scanning, and document uploads.
• Enter work orders and coordinate move-ins; prepare leases and paperwork.
• Complete annual and interim recertifications; verify income and eligibility.
• Maintain wait lists and ensure regulatory compliance; handle deposits and collections.
• Perform inspections, respond to emergencies, and report accidents per policy.
• Hire, develop, and supervise team members; manage payroll records.
