Job summary

Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy seeks a field-based sales professional to promote our services to physicians, nurses, practice managers, and referral sources in the Denver area. You will develop and execute territory plans, cultivate professional relationships, and drive referrals to support business objectives.

The role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with store operations, government affairs, and cross-functional teams, and a track record of meeting quarterly sales targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience or 10+ years with a high-school diploma.
• Experience promoting to a diverse set of healthcare professionals (physicians, hospitals, case managers, nurses, clinics).
• Experience developing strategic business plans to hit financial targets in a multi-million dollar territory.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues and implementing strategies to resolve them.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to meet goals.
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery in specialty pharmacy and payer segments; billing for hospital/medical offices/Medicare.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates analytical and clinical knowledge to grow referrals and position Walgreens in the market.
• Builds and follows a business plan to achieve quarterly sales goals and adapts to market conditions.
• Prioritizes efforts to maximize productivity and results.
• Manages accounts by understanding customer needs and developing account-specific strategies.
• Monitors plan progress and adjusts goals as needed.
• Influences outcomes through effective communication and tailoring messages to customer relationships.
• Leverages Walgreens resources across Sales, Operations, Marketing and Clinical teams to grow local business.
