Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a high-performing field sales professional to promote specialty pharmacy services across Northern Chicago and nearby areas. You will work with physicians, nurses, practice managers, and other referral sources to grow Walgreens’ presence and exceed quarterly targets.

You will develop territory plans, analyze market dynamics, and partner with store operations, managed markets, and government affairs to align strategies and maximize referrals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience.
• Experience promoting products or services to diverse healthcare professionals (physicians, hospitals, case managers, nurses, clinics).
• Experience developing a strategic business plan to hit financial targets within a multi-million dollar territory.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues and implementing strategies to resolve them.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to achieve goals.
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, including payer segments and Medicare considerations.
• Experience analyzing and reporting sales data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Travel willingness to cover 75%+ of the time.

Responsibilities

• Promote Walgreens specialty pharmacy services to targeted physicians, nurses, and referral sources.
• Develop and implement strategies to exceed quarterly sales goals.
• Build and leverage professional relationships to support key initiatives and opportunities.
• Plan and adapt sales activities in a matrixed field organization.
• Manage accounts and identify opportunities to grow or stabilize each account.
• Monitor metrics and adjust plans to optimize territory performance.
