Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) Iowa City seeks an Intensive Case Management (ICM) Caseworker to support vulnerable refugee and ORR-eligible populations. You will conduct intake, develop SMART plans, and coordinate services across health, housing, and social supports while navigating complex systems with clients and partners.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 1–2 years of case management experience; fluency in English and willingness to work in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Determine client eligibility for ICM programming and conduct intake assessments.
• Develop individualized SMART Self-sufficiency plans for each client.
• Evaluate client progress every six months during active program enrollment.
• Assist clients in navigating healthcare and social service systems for benefits and appointments.
• Conduct community outreach and maintain a network of service providers.
• Maintain relationships with local/state refugee coordinators and health coordinators.
• Provide orientation on topics such as women’s health and transportation navigation.
• Respond to client crises with supervisor guidance.
• Assist clients with requesting financial assistance and document it in case files.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in client's case file and in ETO database.
• Attend trainings and meetings locally and nationally.
• May train and lead volunteers and interns.
• Other duties as assigned.
