Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination of diagnostic services and orders.
• Schedule diagnostic appointments as requested by providers.
• Collect data for orders and send to central scheduling.
• Respond to status inquiries for orders and referrals.
• Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations.
• Inform patients of appointment details and required documentation.
• Provide patient instructions prior to appointments.
• Serve as point of contact for hospitals and specialty offices.
• Review queues weekly to ensure attendance and follow-ups.
• Open and review flags for consults and document in EMR.
• Log no-shows and flag ordering providers for follow-up.
• Provide feedback to managers and care teams.
• Direct patients to outside resources when needed.
