North Shore Community Health (NSCH) seeks a Referral Coordinator I to manage diagnostic orders, communicating with patients, internal and external providers, central scheduling, and insurance companies to ensure continuity of care.

NSCH operates across Salem, Peabody and Gloucester, emphasizing compassionate, culturally sensitive care. The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or office setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish/Portuguese and English preferred.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the coordination of diagnostic services.
• Coordinate and schedule diagnostic appointments as requested by the ordering provider.
• Collect proper supporting data for diagnostic orders before sending to central scheduling.
• Respond to inquiries about status of diagnostic orders and referrals.
• Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations with insurers.
• Inform patient of appointment details and provide instructions prior to visit.
