Responsibilities include coordinating authorizations, educating patients, and scheduling appointments while maintaining thorough documentation in the patient record system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with insurance referrals or prior authorization.
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies and obtain authorizations for specific plans.
• Educate patients and staff with referral and insurance information.
• Obtain urgent authorizations same day or next day.
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
• Answer questions, route calls, and relay messages to clinical staff.
• Verify patient registration and insurance information.
• Support referrals, authorizations, and patient outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
