Job summary

GEO Reentry Services LLC in the United States is seeking a Job Developer to provide education, employment resources, and referrals for parolees and clients. The role focuses on assessments, counseling, and connecting individuals with training and employer opportunities within the California system.

You will support job readiness, resume building, mock interviews and guidance through credentialing and job placement, applying evidence-based practices in daily client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience as a Job Developer or similar.
• High school diploma with 4 years of experience as Job Developer or similar.
• Knowledge of management techniques.
• Familiar with the correctional system and policies.
• Ability to conduct counseling sessions and facilitate small groups.
• Ability to write clear reports in English using proper grammar.
• Ability to work with computers and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Provide education assessments and create treatment plans for referred participants.
• Assess parolee to determine training and CTE needs.
• Refer parolees to employers, training and educational facilities or other organizations.
• Provide counseling to assess employability and skills.
• Provide information on occupational opportunities, training and resources.
• Deliver employment services including resume writing and mock interviews.
• Assist parolee with assembling documents to work in California.
• Identify benefits of expungement and obtain rehabilitation certificates.
• Mentor parolees in disclosures to employers.
• Help parolees locate employment, college or training.
• Support parolees post-placement to address arising issues.
• Establish relationships with local employers for recruitment.
