Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required, plus 1+ years related experience.
• Familiar with community workforce needs, public and private agencies, and employment services.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Ability to instruct and maintain positive community relationships.
• Ability to motivate and interact with residents and staff.
• Proficient with computers and standard software used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates employment job searches for residents in the community.
• Provides job readiness training and individual/group discussions.
• Contacts employers to describe the program and solicit opportunities.
• Maintains a job bank and referral sources for opportunities.
• Monitors residents' employment and progress in program goals.
• Maintains confidential records and reports on employment status.
