Job summary

Ventura Coastal is seeking a motivated Intern Recruiter to join our HR team and gain hands-on experience in the recruiting process within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll learn sourcing, resume review, phone screenings, interview coordination, events, and ATS usage.

The role supports candidate communications, onboarding activities, and recruitment projects, with opportunities to work across hourly, skilled-trades, technical, and professional positions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, recruiting, or Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community resources, and other recruiting channels.
• Review resumes and applications based on established job qualifications.
• Conduct initial candidate phone screens using established interview questions and guidelines.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and help provide a positive candidate experience.
• Create, post, update, and monitor job advertisements.
• Assist with career fairs, hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach.
• Maintain candidate information and recruitment activity in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Assist with tracking recruitment metrics and preparing reports.
• Support offer, pre-employment, and onboarding activities.
