Sylvan America, Inc. in Kittanning, PA is seeking a hands-on Recruiter/HR Generalist to manage talent acquisition from sourcing through onboarding and to support HR administration with a focus on legal compliance.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will conduct phone and in-person interviews, maintain HR records in Paylocity, ensure employment law compliance, and assist with day-to-day HR tasks while partnering with management to hire for diverse roles.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) in HR or related field.
• 2–4 years HR experience (required).
• ≥2 years in high-volume recruiting or full-cycle recruiting, TA, and HR systems management.

Responsibilities

• Own full cycle recruiting for diverse roles, including technical and manufacturing positions.
• Create and apply sourcing strategies using HR sourcing tools, an ATS, Indeed.
• Conduct phone and in-person interviews and facilitate candidate evaluation for strong organizational fit.
• Maintain employment law compliance and accurate HR recordkeeping in HR systems (Paylocity).
• Support HR compliance by monitoring employment and labor law updates and implementing policies.
• Assist HR Manager with day-to-day HR administration tasks.

Job description

The Recruiter/HR Generalist is a hands-on HR role based in Kittanning, PA, reporting to the HR Manager. The position supports talent acquisition from sourcing through onboarding and contributes to HR administration with a focus on legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own full cycle recruiting for diverse roles, including technical and manufacturing positions.
• Create and apply sourcing strategies using HR sourcing tools, an ATS (Applicant Tracking System), and Indeed.
• Conduct phone and in person interviews, and facilitate candidate evaluation to support strong organizational fit.
• Maintain employment law compliance in talent management practices and ensure accurate HR recordkeeping within HR systems, including Paylocity.
• Support HR legal compliance by monitoring employment and labor law updates and implementing required policies.
• Assist the HR Manager with day-to-day Human Resource administration tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) in Human Resources or a related business field.
• 2-4 years of HR experience (required).
• At least two years of experience in high volume recruiting processes or HR roles focused on full cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, and HR systems management.

Additional Skills and Preferences

• Working knowledge of employment law related to talent management, HR legal compliance, and labor regulations across different regions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with Paylocity is a strong plus.
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is recommended but not required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and Word.
