Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter who will support Service Centers in recruiting, hiring, training, and onboarding quality candidates.

The role requires travel to multiple centers, coordination with the Recruiting Manager, and hands-on interviewing and onboarding of new hires. You will source candidates via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and staffing partners, while maintaining strong candidate communication throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and capable of multitasking while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Previous HR/recruiting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, search agencies, etc.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interview applicants in-person and virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Follow up with candidates during the interview process.
• Advance candidates through the interview and hiring process in ATS.
• Create training schedules for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at Service Center level.
• Train new Service Center employees.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees

• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
