Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to support staffing across service centers. You will travel to career fairs and events, source candidates via multiple channels, review applications, and coordinate interviews for hourly roles and interns.

The role involves onboarding and training coordination, collaborating with leadership to meet staffing needs, and maintaining strong communication with Service Center teams throughout the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and able to multitask in a fast paced recruiting environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus.
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Previous HR/Recruiting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Service Centers, career fairs and events to recruit and represent the company.

Overview

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires with on-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
