Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to support service centers in recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding quality candidates.

The role requires travel to various centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events, and collaboration with the Recruiting Manager to align strategies with goals. • Detail oriented and precise in handling candidate data and processes.
• Ability to multitask across multiple requisitions and service centers.
• Strong teamwork and collaborative approach with hiring managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for candidate interactions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills for fast-paced environment.
• Previous HR/Recruiting experience is a plus.

• Assist onboarding and orientation at Service Centers.
• Train new Service Center employees.

Overview

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires with on-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
