Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a proactive Recruiter to support service centers with recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates. You will travel to multiple centers, career fairs and events to build a strong pipeline and fill hourly and intern roles.

In this role you will collaborate with the Recruiting Manager, screen applications, conduct interviews, coordinate schedules and drive the onboarding process, helping new hires settle into their service centers and

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and organized.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus.
• HR/Recruiting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Service Centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interview applicants both in-person and virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Follow up with candidates during the interview process.
• Advance candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in the applicant tracking system.
• Create Training Schedule for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at the Service Center level.
• Train new Service Center employees.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview
