Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a Recruiter to support service centers by recruiting, hiring, training, and onboarding quality candidates. Travel to various Service Centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events is required.

You will collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align strategies, source candidates via social media and job boards, review applications, interview, and coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus.
• HR/Recruiting background is favorable.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Service Centers, career fairs, school or club events and hiring events.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to align strategies with goals.
• Develop and source a strong candidate pipeline via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and search agencies.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels and recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interview candidates in person or virtually and set up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Follow up with candidates and advance them through the interview and hiring process.
• Create training schedules for new employees and assist onboarding and orientation at Service Centers.
• Train new Service Center employees and communicate staffing needs to leadership.

Overview

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events
• Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
• Creating Training Schedule for new employees
• Assisting new hires withon-boarding and orientation at the Service Center level
• Training new Service Center employees
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs
• Other duties as assigned
